Port Hope Conversion Facility
Port Hope Conversion Facility is a conversion facility operated by Cameco Corporation in Canada. It has a capacity of 12,500 tU/yr as UF6 as of 2022, about 20% of world conversion capacity.
The only conversion plant in Canada and the only one in the world that also produces uranium dioxide for CANDU fuel, on the same site. UF6 output feeds enrichers worldwide; the UO2 line feeds Cameco's own CANDU fabrication, which needs no enrichment at all.

At the market indicator. 12,500 tU/yr of nameplate capacity, valued at US$ 65.00 per kgU spot, comes to roughly US$ 813 million a year, or US$ 694 million at the long-term indicator. Treat both as scale, not revenue: most volume moves under contracts signed years earlier at prices neither figure reflects, and nothing here is netted against the cost of producing it. The indicators, and forty years of history behind them, are on fuel market prices.
