A factory-built PWR module sitting in a shared water pool, with up to twelve modules per plant. The 50 MWe version received US design certification in 2023, the first SMR to do so, and an uprated 77 MWe version is under review. The large number of announced NuScale units in this dataset reflects proposed module counts, not committed projects: its flagship customer project in Idaho was cancelled in 2023.
