SMR-300 is a light water-cooled reactor design from Holtec International rated at 300 MWe. An application is docketed and under active regulatory review.
Proposed for the site of the Palisades plant that Holtec itself owns and restarted — an unusual position, since the developer already holds the site, the licence history and the grid connection. Conventional LEU fuel, so no HALEU exposure.
