HTR-PM is a helium-cooled reactor design from China National Nuclear Corporation rated at 210 MWe. A unit of this design is generating power.
The world's first commercial high temperature gas-cooled reactor and, by most definitions, the first Generation IV plant in commercial operation anywhere. Two pebble-bed modules of 250 MWt feed a single turbine for 210 MWe. It is the only design on this tracker other than the Russian floating plant that has actually generated power for a grid, and it did so while most Western designs on this list were still filing paperwork. A six-module version is under construction at Jiangsu Xuwei.
