BWRX-300

Output
300MWe
BWRX-300 is a light water-cooled reactor design from GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy rated at 300 MWe. Nuclear construction has begun.
The first SMR construction start in a G7 country. A simplification of the licensed ESBWR using natural circulation instead of recirculation pumps, which is why it could be licensed faster than a clean-sheet design. Crucially it runs on **conventional LEU**, so unlike most of this list it does not wait on HALEU.
