The French three-loop plant China bought outright for Daya Bay, commissioned in 1994 and built almost entirely by Framatome. It is the root of the Chinese industry: everything CGN has built since is a development of it. Daya Bay and Ling'ao 1 and 2 are the M310 units; Ling'ao 3 and 4 are the localised CPR-1000 that followed.
