"notes": "Not a mine but the only operating conventional uranium mill in the United States, in San Juan County, Utah. Every American mine that is not an in-situ recovery operation has to send its ore here, which makes one privately owned mill a chokepoint for a whole category of domestic production. It also processes alternate feed materials and separates rare earths, so its throughput is not all uranium ore. Its capacity is stated in tonnes of ore a day rather than uranium a year, and the two cannot be compared without an ore grade.\n",
